Almonds Unroasted & Unsalted
Almonds unroasted & unsalted are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vegetable proteins, fiber, calcium and iron. They also contain a relatively high content of vitamin E and magnesium. With 100 grams of this type of nut you already meet your recommended daily amount of magnesium. In addition, they are very popular among vegans, vegetarians and athletes because of their high vegetable protein content. 100 grams of almond contain no less than 20 grams of protein, making it a good substitute for meat or dairy. Delicious as a healthy snack in between, or as a fitness snack after an intense sports session to restore or build your muscles!
Compared to the white variant, these almond nuts are even richer in phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and calcium due to the retention of the brown membrane.
If you also want to take advantage of the nutrients of the almond while baking, you can also try replacing wheat flour with almond flour. Rich in protein and easily digestible.
Like much of the almond nuts eaten worldwide, ours come from the United States. The largest part of the worldwide almond cultivation is located in California: no fewer than 30 different types of almonds are grown here, of which 10 types make up 70% of the production!
