Due to rising food prices and shrinking budgets, many schools and caterers find it difficult to put together a healthy, varied and natural range of food for students.
Factors for cost increases are not only food prices, but also preparation time and effort put into preparing fresh, healthy and varied meals. By offering a healthy, portioned convenience product such as dried fruit, healthy legume-nut blends or more ‘exciting’ snack concepts such as seaweed chips, a healthy lunch break can still be guaranteed.
