Seaweed chips with nuts & sesame

Seaweed chips with almond pieces and sesame seeds, enriched with mirin and a hint of salt. Seaweed has grown in popularity not only among vegans in recent years, and for good reason. It is super healthy and rich in iron, omega-3 fats, proteins, iodine, calcium and vitamin B1. Seaweed, like most products from the sea, is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids are very important and can provide great health benefits for your body and brain. Especially for people who prefer not to eat fish or animal products, it may be advisable to put seaweeds on the menu more often. For example, did you know that fish also get their omega-3 from seaweed? Furthermore, seaweed is rich in iron, more than most meats. And that while it contains hardly any calories. Seaweed can therefore serve as a meat substitute in this area.

Finally, it contains a significant amount of iodine. Iodine is important for proper growth, the development of the nervous system and metabolism. Furthermore, iodine is important for the functioning of the thyroid gland and for memory / concentration. To prevent deficiencies, iodine is added to baker’s salt for bread.
